New Neutrals Bring New Possibilities

Neutrals for me are colors that can pair easily with other colors. For clothing, this creates easy matching and mixing of tones in one’s wardrobe to deliver looks that are inventive and versatile. When thinking about a new season and how to infuse one’s closet with fresh looks, it’s fun to start with some key colors that can be utilized all season long. My name is Yarra and I work with Stella Carakasi and her team to introduce our love of clothing to women all over the world.
One of the things that I have always enjoyed about Stella’s line is that the colors are distinctive, and the palette is sophisticated. It is easy to understand too. Colors in each seasonal collection reference the line as a whole allowing women to build a wardrobe over the seasons. Early Spring 2014 emerges out of the dark hues of Fall to bring new neutrals to the foreground. Graphite, birch and French blue are the colors that tell the story of early Spring.
This collection brings new possibilities. French blue acts as a neutral much the way that denim does. This shade of blue looks great with almost every color out there. The beauty of it is that it can used where denim is too casual. Birch brings softness and richness to the collection. Graphite brings mutability, seeming dark with rich colors such as orchid, taking on lighter characteristics when paired with lights such as birch.
Having an array of colors that can be easily worn together makes dressing easier. Early Spring goes easily with previous Fall collections and can be utilized throughout the Spring season.
