Meet Jena

My name is Jena Roytman, I'm 41 (will be 42 next month), and I live in Dayton, OH.  I have been married for 24 years and am a mother of two wonderful children - a 17- and a 13-year old. For the past 18 years, I have been a successful entrepreneur and a managing partner in an Information Technology consulting and staffing firm, Roytman Information Services, Inc. I'm also a metals artist. This last year, I decided to turn a very long-term hobby and passion for metalsmithing into a business venture, and have launched "Modern J Element", a custom modern jewelry design company. You can see my designs at www.modernJelement.com. My jewelry is like Stella's clothes: unique, modern, with clean minimalist lines and unusual architectural decisions.

What Inspires Me

I am inspired by modern architecture and design, and modern minimalist art. Stella's clothes inspire me. I always feel great about myself when I wear her pieces -- I feel comfortable, creative and stylish. In my book, that's what true fashion should be about.

My Style, My Statement

I discovered Stella's designs this last spring and have been totally in love with Stella's brand ever since. As an artist and a very busy working mom of two teenagers, I want my clothes to be effortless, easy to care for and comfortable; and yet I also want them to be different, flattering, "outside of the box," and head-turning to reflect both my artsy and my professional sides. I love fashion, but I don't like the mainstream style. My creative personality shines through my personal style. I create my wardrobe carefully selecting pieces from different designers that fit this bill: Joseph Ribkoff, Alberto Makali, La-El Couture, Dzhavael Couture, Comfy USA, Angels Never Die, and now, Stella.

What I Love About Stella

I love Stella's designs because they are made with real women in mind: they flatter pretty much every shape and size. I am only 4'10" and usually wear size 8 petite. Stella's pieces are as unique and stylish as they are comfortable and easy to wear. They streamline and flatter from every angle without being bulky and "swallowing" me whole. I love the flowing, easy fabrics in her collections, I love her modern abstract prints and colors, and I love the unusual asymmetrical hemlines and "architectural" look and feel to her pieces.

At this point I am a proud owner of "Cloud Cover", "Headliner ", and "Anything But Ordinary" tunics, "Incomparable" and "Play it Again" pants, a "Winning Ways" cardigan, "After All" tunic, "Rest Assured" top, and "Now or Never" jacket. Here's a picture of me with my beloved husband wearing my very favorite and Stella's absolutely gorgeous "Headliner Tunic.”
